WHomeSchoole work in partnership with families to secure a high quality education for our children. Dialogue is promoted through our link diary, our weekly Parent And Teacher Hour, induction days, interim reports and consultation events. Parents are also given copies of curriculum links which outline what the children are learning each term. We believe that homework helps the children to reinforce learning at school and promotes parental involvement in their child's education.

We give all of our children homework as a means of supporting their learning in school.

Homework also provides an opportunity for the children to develop an independent approach to learning. Children should take their reading books home every night so that they can share their text with an adult. All of the children will be given word and spelling activities on a weekly basis. Depending upon the age of the pupil, they will also be given a maths task or another recorded activity from another curriculum area. Project work is also set. It is helpful and beneficial if parent / carers ensure that these tasks are implemented satisfactorily and comment in their child's Link Diary.
