Communication with Parents
At Hall Meadow Primary School, we value communication and are always looking for new and innovative ways to keep parents, carers and our wider community informed about school life. We use a range of communication platforms to share important information, celebrate achievements and strengthen the partnership between home and school.

Arbor Parent Portal
Arbor is our main communication and management system for families.
Through Arbor, parents and carers can:
- Receive school letters and communications
- Book parent consultations
- Book clubs and activities
- Make trip payments
- Provide consent for school visits and events
- Access important school information
All communications are sent directly to your email address or through the Arbor App. Arbor can be accessed on a computer or through the mobile app, helping us to remain as paperless and environmentally friendly as possible.
Class Dojo
We use Class Dojo to support communication between teachers and families.
Through Class Dojo, teachers can:
- Share messages and announcements
- Set and share homework
- Celebrate children's achievements
- Share photographs of learning
- Post class reminders and updates
Families will also receive updates from the School Office regarding school events and important information.
Newsletters
A newsletter is published at the end of each half term and provides a wider overview of school life and achievements throughout the term.
Parents and carers will receive an email notification when the latest newsletter becomes available.
Tapestry
Tapestry is used within our Reception classes as an additional communication tool.
The platform is specifically designed to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and allows families to stay connected with their child's learning and development journey.
School Calendar
Our school calendar is updated regularly and provides information about upcoming events, activities and key school dates.
We encourage parents and carers to check the calendar regularly to stay informed about school events throughout the year.
Social Media
As well as our communication platforms, we use social media to celebrate achievements, share news and keep our community up to date.
